Fundación Telefónica

International Solidarity Vacations

The Solidarity Vacation initiative takes place once a year, providing employees and retirees of the Institution with the opportunity to engage in two weeks of development cooperation activities alongside various NGOs.
The primary objective of this solidarity work project is to undertake activities that promote the comprehensive development of communities facing social risks where Fundación Telefónica is actively involved. It also aims to involve employees in a unique and impactful experience, helping others. In 2016, following the earthquake that affected the coastal provinces of Ecuador, 80 Telefónica volunteers from 14 countries dedicated their vacation time, totaling 650 hours, to work on five projects, benefiting 4540 people through the annual "International Solidarity Vacations" program.
